Meanwhile, Rostelekom PJSC (MCX: RTKM ) added 2.04% or 1.14 points to end at 57.07 and PIK SHb PJSC (MCX: PIKK ) was up 2.03% or 9.80 points to 493.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were ADS Ozon Holdings PLC ORD SHS (MCX: OZONDR ), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 3,551.50 at the close. Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.22% or 39.40 to $3,187.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.41% or 0.87 to hit $62.49 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.36% or 0.88 to trade at $65.41 a barrel.

USD/RUB was up 1.25% to 81.00, while EUR/RUB rose 1.02% to 90.42.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 100.95.
