Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Saturday, as in the sectors led shares .
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index unchanged 0.00% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were OK Rusal MKPAO (MCX: RUAL ), which rose 1.15% or 0.32 points to trade at 28.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PAO (MCX: MAGN ) added 1.05% or 0.33 points to end at 31.68 and PhosAgro PJSC (MCX: PHOR ) was up 1.00% or 58.00 points to 5,881.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (MCX: CBOM ), which fell 0.71% or 0.05 points to trade at 6.55 at the close. Mobil’nye Telesistemy PJSC (MCX: MTSS ) declined 0.46% or 0.90 points to end at 192.75 and Polyus PJSC (MCX: PLZL ) was down 0.32% or 5.80 points to 1,784.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 87 to 49 and 8 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was unchanged 0.00% to 31.83.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.15% or 38.30 to $3,364.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 2.82% or 1.88 to hit $68.45 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 2.51% or 1.72 to trade at $70.36 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.53% to 77.96, while EUR/RUB rose 0.44% to 91.14.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 97.53.
