The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Uniflex Technology Inc (TW: 3321 ), which rose 10.00% or 0.62 points to trade at 6.82 at the close. Meanwhile, IBF Financial Holdings Co Ltd (TW: 2889 ) added 9.87% or 1.55 points to end at 17.25 and Dynamic Electronics Co Ltd (TW: 3715 ) was up 8.87% or 4.30 points to 52.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Iron Force Industrial Co Ltd (TW: 2228 ), which fell 13.54% or 12.90 points to trade at 82.40 at the close. ITE Tech Inc (TW: 3014 ) declined 9.49% or 13.00 points to end at 124.00 and Transcend Information Inc (TW: 2451 ) was down 9.46% or 10.50 points to 100.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in IBF Financial Holdings Co Ltd (TW: 2889 ) rose to all time highs; rising 9.87% or 1.55 to 17.25.

Crude oil for August delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $68.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $70.24 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 9.00 to trade at $3,330.00 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was unchanged 0.01% to 29.22, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.00% to 0.25.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 97.03.
