Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 1.14%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials , Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.14% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC: ARG_p ), which rose 3.75% or 620.00 points to trade at 17,160.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Etb (BVC: ETB ) added 3.64% or 2.00 points to end at 57.00 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC: SIS ) was up 3.43% or 1,660.00 points to 50,060.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupo Bolivar SA (BVC: SCA ), which fell 1.22% or 880.00 points to trade at 71,080.00 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC: CNE ) declined 1.11% or 90.00 points to end at 8,010.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC: ECO ) was down 0.82% or 15.00 points to 1,805.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC: SIS ) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 3.43% or 1,660.00 to 50,060.00.

US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.92% or 2.70 to $289.25 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.19% or 16.00 to hit $8,301.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 18.75 to trade at $3,368.55 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.03% to 3,990.75, while BRL/COP fell 0.03% to 735.70.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 96.44.
