Spain stocks higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 0.36%

Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate , Building & Construction and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.36%.

The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (BME: MTS ), which rose 5.77% or 1.52 points to trade at 27.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco de Sabadell SA (BME: SABE ) added 5.03% or 0.14 points to end at 2.84 and Acerinox (BME: ACX ) was up 4.24% or 0.44 points to 10.81 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Merlin Properties SA (BME: MRL ), which fell 1.42% or 0.16 points to trade at 11.13 at the close. Cellnex Telecom SA (BME: CLNX ) declined 1.41% or 0.48 points to end at 33.61 and Endesa SA (BME: ELE ) was down 1.15% or 0.31 points to 26.76.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 111 to 87 and 17 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.23% or 7.55 to $3,357.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.63% or 1.07 to hit $66.52 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.65% or 1.11 to trade at $68.22 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.18, while EUR/GBP rose 0.79% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 96.51.
