Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate , Banking and Textile sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 added 1.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Lasertec Corp (TYO: 6920 ), which rose 13.30% or 2,155.00 points to trade at 18,355.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. (TYO: 5801 ) added 6.34% or 416.00 points to end at 6,975.00 and Fujikura Ltd. (TYO: 5803 ) was up 5.72% or 384.00 points to 7,097.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inpex Corp. (TYO: 1605 ), which fell 6.79% or 146.00 points to trade at 2,003.00 at the close. Pacific Metals Co., Ltd. (TYO: 5541 ) declined 5.65% or 97.00 points to end at 1,619.00 and Mitsubishi Estate Co Ltd (TYO: 8802 ) was down 3.17% or 88.00 points to 2,691.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2426 to 1148 and 265 ended unchanged.
The Nikkei Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was up 3.91% to 26.60.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.93% or 2.69 to $65.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 3.83% or 2.70 to hit $67.82 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.67% or 56.83 to trade at $3,338.17 a troy ounce.
USD/JPY was down 0.73% to 145.09, while EUR/JPY fell 0.46% to 168.40.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 97.66.
