Investing.com -- Rémy Cointreau (EPA: RCOP ) on Wednesday said that Franck Marilly will become the group’s new chief executive officer, effective June 25. He will replace Éric Vallat, who will assist in the transition.

Marilly brings over three decades of experience in the luxury and cosmetics industries, having held senior leadership roles at Chanel, Unilever (LON: ULVR ) and Shiseido.

Most recently, he served as president and CEO of the EMEA region and global fragrance division at Shiseido, which he joined in 2018.

He previously spent 17 years at Chanel, including a tenure as CEO of the fragrance and beauty division for EMEA and leadership roles in various international subsidiaries.

Rémy Cointreau said Marilly’s international management experience and familiarity with key markets, including Europe and the United States, are expected to be assets as the company continues to pursue its brand and innovation strategy.

The group added that it aims to “strengthen the desirability of its brand portfolio, while consolidating its position in its key markets and opening up to new territories,” under Marilly’s leadership.

Marilly, 59, is a graduate of EDC Paris Business School and has held board positions at the Fédération des Entreprises de la Beauté and the Franco-Japanese Exchange Committee.

In February 2025, he was appointed a Foreign Trade Advisor of France by a decree signed by the Prime Minister.
