Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.59%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Personal & Household Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.59% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were NKT Holding (CSE: NKT ), which rose 2.74% or 15.00 points to trade at 563.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ) added 1.67% or 7.50 points to end at 457.30 and Genmab (CSE: GMAB ) was up 1.49% or 20.50 points to 1,394.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE: MAERSKb ), which fell 3.20% or 400.00 points to trade at 12,085.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE: MAERSKa ) declined 2.77% or 340.00 points to end at 11,950.00 and Tryg A/S (CSE: TRYG ) was down 0.52% or 0.90 points to 172.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 64 to 58 and 23 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.82% or 1.12 to $60.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.62% or 1.04 to hit $63.08 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.17% or 73.54 to trade at $3,320.96 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.46% to 6.58, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 99.46.
