Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology , Banking and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ), which rose 3.06% or 5.10 points to trade at 171.70 at the close. Meanwhile, mBank SA (WA: MBK ) added 1.89% or 15.60 points to end at 842.00 and Pepco Group Nv (WA: PCOP ) was up 1.86% or 0.32 points to 17.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rainbow Tours SA (WA: RBW ), which fell 1.18% or 1.90 points to trade at 159.50 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA: KGH ) declined 1.14% or 1.45 points to end at 125.85 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA: JSW ) was down 0.74% or 0.17 points to 22.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 273 to 261 and 99 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.92% or 1.18 to $60.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.73% or 1.11 to hit $63.01 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.26% or 76.69 to trade at $3,317.81 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.25% to 4.25, while USD/PLN rose 0.77% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 99.50.
