Italy stocks higher at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 up 0.33%

Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials , Chemicals and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.33%.

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian SpA (BIT: PRY ), which rose 4.56% or 2.52 points to trade at 57.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Amplifon (BIT: AMPF ) added 2.60% or 0.51 points to end at 19.94 and Nexi SpA (BIT: NEXII ) was up 2.48% or 0.13 points to 5.38 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (BIT: TLIT ), which fell 2.17% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.38 at the close. Tenaris SA (BIT: TENR ) declined 1.31% or 0.19 points to end at 14.37 and Pirelli & C SPA (BIT: PIRC ) was down 0.99% or 0.06 points to 6.19.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 362 to 227 and 63 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.45% or 0.89 to $60.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.28% or 0.82 to hit $63.30 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.17% or 73.54 to trade at $3,320.96 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.65% at 99.51.
