Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology , Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ASM International NV (AS: ASMI ), which rose 1.86% or 8.90 points to trade at 487.10 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding NV (AS: ASML ) added 1.85% or 12.10 points to end at 666.10 and BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS: BESI ) was up 1.81% or 1.95 points to 109.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wolters Kluwer (AS: WLSNc ), which fell 1.11% or 1.80 points to trade at 160.30 at the close. Universal Music Group NV (AS: UMG ) declined 0.92% or 0.26 points to end at 28.09 and DSM Firmenich AG (AS: DSFIR ) was down 0.66% or 0.66 points to 98.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 66 to 30 and 12 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.48% or 0.91 to $60.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.29% or 0.83 to hit $63.29 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.16% or 73.29 to trade at $3,321.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 99.50.
