Poland stocks lower at close of trade; WIG30 down 0.71%

Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking , Developers and Media sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.71%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Dino Polska SA (WA: DNP ), which rose 2.35% or 12.20 points to trade at 532.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa KĘTY SA (WA: KTY ) added 2.07% or 17.50 points to end at 863.00 and Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ) was up 1.86% or 3.20 points to 175.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Santander Bank Polska SA (WA: SPL1 ), which fell 4.16% or 22.20 points to trade at 512.00 at the close. Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA: CPS ) declined 3.49% or 0.62 points to end at 17.16 and Text SA (WA: TXTP ) was down 2.11% or 1.20 points to 55.65.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 320 to 200 and 107 ended unchanged.

Shares in Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.86% or 3.20 to 175.30.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.36% or 0.22 to $62.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.26% or 0.17 to hit $65.58 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.52% or 48.41 to trade at $3,235.71 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was down 0.41% to 4.25, while USD/PLN fell 1.20% to 3.77.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.81% at 100.13.
