Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Electric Power , Real Estate and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 1.76% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Hapvida Participacoes e Investimentos (BVMF: HAPV3 ), which rose 11.30% or 0.27 points to trade at 2.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Azul SA Pref (BVMF: AZUL4 ) added 10.85% or 0.14 points to end at 1.43 and Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF: CVCB3 ) was up 9.29% or 0.21 points to 2.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF: YDUQ3 ), which fell 8.48% or 1.35 points to trade at 14.57 at the close. JBS SA (BVMF: JBSS3 ) declined 2.48% or 1.04 points to end at 40.85 and Brava Energia SA (BVMF: BRAV3 ) was down 2.35% or 0.47 points to 19.54.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 568 to 389 and 41 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 2.76% to 30.14.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.95% or 30.72 to $3,258.72 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.73% or 1.69 to hit $63.64 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract rose 0.44% or 1.65 to trade at $374.60 .
USD/BRL was down 1.19% to 5.61, while EUR/BRL fell 0.25% to 6.28.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.84% at 100.75.
