Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Power , Manufacturing and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index gained 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (MCX: CBOM ), which rose 2.40% or 0.18 points to trade at 7.84 at the close. Meanwhile, PhosAgro PJSC (MCX: PHOR ) added 1.78% or 112.00 points to end at 6,419.00 and Polyus PJSC (MCX: PLZL ) was up 1.34% or 23.20 points to 1,759.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rostelekom PJSC (MCX: RTKM ), which fell 2.04% or 1.19 points to trade at 57.17 at the close. Transneft PJSC Pref (MCX: TRNF_p ) declined 1.59% or 20.00 points to end at 1,224.00 and Magnit PJSC (MCX: MGNT ) was down 1.38% or 61.00 points to 4,355.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 166 to 76 and 10 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 5.75% to 43.93.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.82% or 26.50 to $3,254.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.73% or 1.69 to hit $63.64 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.34% or 1.52 to trade at $66.48 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 79.85, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 89.34.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 100.81.
