Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials , Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV: GFINBURO ), which rose 4.04% or 2.01 points to trade at 51.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV: PEOLES ) added 3.55% or 13.76 points to end at 401.23 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV: GFNORTEO ) was up 3.17% or 5.21 points to 169.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV: MEGACPO ), which fell 2.75% or 1.48 points to trade at 52.33 at the close. Becle SA (BMV: CUERVO ) declined 1.86% or 0.47 points to end at 24.86 and Corporacion Inmobiliaria Vesta SAB (BMV: VESTA ) was down 1.56% or 0.85 points to 53.74.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 129 to 108 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.82% or 26.50 to $3,254.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.73% or 1.69 to hit $63.64 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.39% or 1.55 to trade at $66.51 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 19.42, while EUR/MXN rose 0.06% to 21.73.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 100.81.
