Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.30% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Demant A/S (CSE: DEMANT ), which rose 1.93% or 4.80 points to trade at 253.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Tryg A/S (CSE: TRYG ) added 1.43% or 2.30 points to end at 163.40 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE: JYSK ) was up 0.81% or 4.50 points to 558.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ), which fell 0.98% or 0.90 points to trade at 88.50 at the close. Oersted AS (CSE: ORSTED ) declined 0.75% or 2.00 points to end at 265.60 and Rockwool AS B (CSE: ROCKb ) was down 0.58% or 2.00 points to 309.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 68 to 62 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.78% or 1.62 to $56.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.48% or 1.52 to hit $59.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 2.46% or 79.94 to trade at $3,323.24 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.21% to 6.59, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.04% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 99.58.
