Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 0.60%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms , Banking and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.60%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS: IEYHO ), which rose 9.98% or 1.14 points to trade at 12.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: OBAMS ) added 6.89% or 5.10 points to end at 79.10 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS: KTLEV ) was up 6.85% or 5.75 points to 89.65 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS: OTKAR ), which fell 5.01% or 19.00 points to trade at 360.25 at the close. Oyak Cimento Fabrikalari AS (IS: OYAKC ) declined 4.53% or 1.04 points to end at 21.90 and MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS: MPARK ) was down 4.42% or 14.75 points to 319.25.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 287 to 286 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS: OTKAR ) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.01% or 19.00 to 360.25. Shares in Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: OBAMS ) rose to all time highs; rising 6.89% or 5.10 to 79.10.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 2.49% or 80.66 to $3,323.96 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.62% or 1.53 to hit $56.76 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.33% or 1.43 to trade at $59.86 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.02% to 38.56, while EUR/TRY rose 0.43% to 43.74.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 99.57.
