Finland stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 up 0.17%

Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services , Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.17% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE: NESTE ), which rose 1.95% or 0.18 points to trade at 9.51 at the close. Meanwhile, Hiab Oyj (HE: HIAB ) added 0.99% or 0.42 points to end at 42.88 and Sampo Oyj A (HE: SAMPO ) was up 0.78% or 0.07 points to 9.03 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HE: FORTUM ), which fell 1.48% or 0.22 points to trade at 14.33 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE: KCRA ) declined 1.43% or 0.85 points to end at 58.70 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE: OUT1V ) was down 1.16% or 0.04 points to 3.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 102 to 73 and 12 ended unchanged.

Shares in Sampo Oyj A (HE: SAMPO ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.78% or 0.07 to 9.03.

Brent oil for July delivery was down 2.12% or 1.30 to $59.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.38% or 1.39 to hit $56.90 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 2.38% or 77.31 to trade at $3,320.61 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 99.65.
