Netherlands stocks lower at close of trade; AEX down 0.13%

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.13%.

The best performers of the session on the AEX were DSM Firmenich AG (AS: DSFIR ), which rose 2.04% or 1.94 points to trade at 96.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Akzo Nobel NV (AS: AKZO ) added 2.03% or 1.16 points to end at 58.42 and Aegon Ltd (AS: AEGN ) was up 1.80% or 0.10 points to 5.88 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Shell PLC (AS: SHEL ), which fell 1.94% or 0.57 points to trade at 28.77 at the close. ASM International NV (AS: ASMI ) declined 1.01% or 4.50 points to end at 439.80 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS: PHG ) was down 0.97% or 0.22 points to 22.50.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 59 to 36 and 12 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.14% or 1.25 to $57.04 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.88% or 1.15 to hit $60.14 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 2.28% or 73.80 to trade at $3,317.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 99.73.
