Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals , Construction and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 2.58% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were CD PROJEKT SA (WA: CDR ), which rose 10.61% or 24.70 points to trade at 257.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Azoty SA (WA: ATTP ) added 7.92% or 1.64 points to end at 22.34 and 11BIT (WA: 11B ) was up 6.24% or 13.60 points to 231.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA (WA: XTB ), which fell 0.24% or 0.20 points to trade at 81.80 at the close. Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA: PEO ) added 0.64% or 1.20 points to end at 189.55 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA: CPS ) was up 0.78% or 0.14 points to 18.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 370 to 154 and 95 ended unchanged.
Shares in CD PROJEKT SA (WA: CDR ) rose to 3-years highs; rising 10.61% or 24.70 to 257.60. Shares in Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA: CPS ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.78% or 0.14 to 18.64.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.89% or 1.12 to $58.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.61% or 1.00 to hit $61.13 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 20.99 to trade at $3,243.19 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.04% to 4.28, while USD/PLN fell 0.36% to 3.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 99.54.
