Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms , Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ), which rose 6.47% or 0.23 points to trade at 3.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (ELI: SEM ) added 4.33% or 0.71 points to end at 17.20 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) was up 3.48% or 0.02 points to 0.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI: EDP ), which fell 1.62% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.22 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ) declined 1.21% or 0.10 points to end at 8.15 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ) was down 0.86% or 0.08 points to 9.22.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 10 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semapa (ELI: SEM ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.33% or 0.71 to 17.20.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.45% or 0.90 to $61.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.76% or 1.04 to hit $58.20 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 14.24 to trade at $3,236.44 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 99.63.
