Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials , Textile and Machinery sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted added 0.01%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Aurotek Corp (TW: 6215 ), which rose 10.00% or 8.70 points to trade at 95.70 at the close. Meanwhile, KYE Systems Corp (TW: 2365 ) added 10.00% or 3.50 points to end at 38.50 and Lung Hwa Electronics Co Ltd (TW: 2424 ) was up 9.97% or 7.40 points to 81.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Zero One Technology Co Ltd (TW: 3029 ), which fell 8.82% or 12.00 points to trade at 124.00 at the close. Global View Co Ltd (TW: 3040 ) declined 8.02% or 3.75 points to end at 43.00 and Tri Ocean Textile Co Ltd (TW: 1472 ) was down 7.80% or 8.50 points to 100.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.49% or 0.29 to $59.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.43% or 0.27 to hit $62.40 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.22% or 39.36 to trade at $3,261.56 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 2.70% to 31.26, while TWD/CNY rose 2.77% to 0.23.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 99.78.
