Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.42%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.42%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE: MAERSKb ), which rose 4.14% or 465.00 points to trade at 11,700.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE: MAERSKa ) added 4.12% or 460.00 points to end at 11,620.00 and DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE: DSV ) was up 2.48% or 34.50 points to 1,424.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Coloplast A/S (CSE: COLOb ), which fell 4.93% or 36.60 points to trade at 705.40 at the close. Ambu A/S (CSE: AMBUb ) declined 1.02% or 1.20 points to end at 116.50 and Demant A/S (CSE: DEMANT ) was down 0.76% or 1.80 points to 236.60.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 83 to 52 and 15 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.45% or 0.26 to $58.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.44% or 0.27 to hit $61.33 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 3.10% or 102.80 to trade at $3,216.30 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.46% to 6.62, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.84% at 100.10.
