Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking , Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Ellaktor SA (AT: HELr ), which rose 4.03% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT: ELHA ) added 3.30% or 0.07 points to end at 2.04 and Crete Plastics SA (AT: PLAKR ) was up 2.76% or 0.40 points to 14.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avax SA (AT: AVAr ), which fell 3.32% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.04 at the close. Alumil (AT: ALMr ) declined 3.02% or 0.16 points to end at 5.14 and Thessaloniki Water and Sewage Co SA (AT: TWSr ) was down 2.61% or 0.09 points to 3.36.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 67 to 54 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.65% or 21.79 to $3,325.91 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.00% or 1.24 to hit $60.81 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.90% or 1.23 to trade at $63.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 99.05.
