Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.49%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.49%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ), which rose 4.69% or 20.30 points to trade at 453.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE: NOVOb ) added 2.43% or 10.10 points to end at 424.40 and Genmab (CSE: GMAB ) was up 1.81% or 24.50 points to 1,374.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ), which fell 2.54% or 2.20 points to trade at 86.00 at the close. Carlsberg A/S B (CSE: CARLb ) declined 2.22% or 20.00 points to end at 880.60 and NKT Holding (CSE: NKT ) was down 0.38% or 2.00 points to 524.50.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 78 to 56 and 13 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.69% or 1.05 to $61.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.67% or 1.08 to hit $63.71 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.73% or 24.44 to trade at $3,323.26 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.20% to 6.55, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 98.93.
