Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport , Leasing & Factoring and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.88% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Mia Teknoloji AS (IS: MIATK ), which rose 7.39% or 2.52 points to trade at 36.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Grainturk Holding AS (IS: GRTHO ) added 5.43% or 15.50 points to end at 300.75 and Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS: BRYAT ) was up 3.80% or 80.00 points to 2,186.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS: KONYA ), which fell 5.95% or 397.50 points to trade at 6,280.00 at the close. Kocaer Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: KCAER ) declined 5.13% or 0.69 points to end at 12.76 and Turkish Airlines (IS: THYAO ) was down 4.80% or 15.00 points to 297.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 351 to 216 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.78% or 26.11 to $3,321.59 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.93% or 1.20 to hit $60.85 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.93% or 1.25 to trade at $63.54 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 38.45, while EUR/TRY rose 0.19% to 43.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 98.92.
