Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare , Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were UCB SA (EBR: UCB ), which rose 4.28% or 6.40 points to trade at 155.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Elia (EBR: ELI ) added 3.03% or 2.75 points to end at 93.60 and Argen-X (EBR: ARGX ) was up 2.18% or 11.80 points to 552.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Melexis NV (EBR: MLXS ), which fell 1.35% or 0.75 points to trade at 54.75 at the close. Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR: ABI ) declined 0.91% or 0.52 points to end at 56.78 and Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR: AZE ) was down 0.89% or 0.12 points to 13.33.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 53 to 36 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.62% or 20.81 to $3,326.89 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.18% or 1.35 to hit $60.70 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.07% or 1.34 to trade at $63.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 98.92.
