Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials , Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.24%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Capgemini SE (EPA: CAPP ), which rose 5.67% or 7.40 points to trade at 138.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Thales (EPA: TCFP ) added 2.44% or 5.70 points to end at 239.70 and L’Oreal SA (EPA: OREP ) was up 2.32% or 8.80 points to 388.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schneider Electric SE (EPA: SCHN ), which fell 6.38% or 13.85 points to trade at 203.25 at the close. LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA: LVMH ) declined 2.53% or 12.70 points to end at 489.30 and Legrand SA (EPA: LEGD ) was down 2.37% or 2.30 points to 94.90.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Capgemini SE (EPA: CAPP ) which rose 5.67% to 138.00, Opmobility SE (EPA: OPM ) which was up 3.66% to settle at 9.64 and Dassault Aviation SA (EPA: AM ) which gained 3.43% to close at 307.80.
The worst performers were Viridien SA (EPA: VIRI ) which was down 6.46% to 46.38 in late trade, Schneider Electric SE (EPA: SCHN ) which lost 6.38% to settle at 203.25 and Worldline SA (EPA: WLN ) which was down 3.74% to 4.78 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 267 to 207 and 101 ended unchanged.
Shares in Worldline SA (EPA: WLN ) fell to all time lows; down 3.74% or 0.19 to 4.78.
The CAC 40 VIX , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.63% or 21.21 to $3,326.49 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.24% or 1.39 to hit $60.66 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.13% or 1.38 to trade at $63.41 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 98.92.
