Sweden stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 1.20%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials , Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.20% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SAAB AB ser. B (ST: SAABb ), which rose 1.57% or 6.30 points to trade at 404.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Essity AB B (ST: ESSITYb ) added 1.22% or 3.50 points to end at 289.80 and Alfa Laval AB (ST: ALFA ) was up 0.47% or 2.10 points to 451.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST: SHBa ), which fell 12.46% or 16.45 points to trade at 115.55 at the close. Swedbank AB ser A (ST: SWEDa ) declined 8.06% or 20.60 points to end at 235.00 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST: ERICb ) was down 3.27% or 2.68 points to 79.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 448 to 311 and 69 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $69.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $72.99 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.31% or 39.91 to trade at $3,092.21 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.24% to 10.82, while USD/SEK fell 0.14% to 10.02.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 103.94.
