Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Metal Products & Machinery , Banking and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Can2 Termik AS (IS: CANTE ), which rose 9.72% or 0.14 points to trade at 1.58 at the close. Meanwhile, SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS: SASA ) added 7.25% or 0.25 points to end at 3.70 and Margun Enerji Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: MAGEN ) was up 6.92% or 1.80 points to 27.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altinay Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS: ALTNY ), which fell 4.32% or 4.00 points to trade at 88.50 at the close. Arcelik AS (IS: ARCLK ) declined 3.68% or 5.20 points to end at 136.00 and Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS: KONTR ) was down 3.08% or 0.88 points to 27.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 329 to 241 and 28 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.56% or 47.70 to $3,100.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.20% or 0.14 to hit $69.79 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.05 to trade at $73.11 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.05% to 38.01, while EUR/TRY rose 0.89% to 41.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 103.85.
