Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media , Transport and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL: GOGL ), which rose 1.79% or 1.50 points to trade at 85.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NAS ) added 1.60% or 0.20 points to end at 12.42 and Orkla ASA (OL: ORK ) was up 0.71% or 0.80 points to 112.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL: HAUTO ), which fell 4.93% or 4.05 points to trade at 78.15 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL: FRO ) declined 4.18% or 6.95 points to end at 159.50 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) was down 4.14% or 2.72 points to 63.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 173 to 106 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orkla ASA (OL: ORK ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.71% or 0.80 to 112.90.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $69.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $72.96 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.35% or 41.15 to trade at $3,093.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.13% to 11.35, while USD/NOK fell 0.22% to 10.51.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 103.92.
