Sweden stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 1.48%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials , Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.48% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST: TEL2b ), which rose 3.52% or 4.55 points to trade at 133.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Telia Company AB (ST: TELIA ) added 1.19% or 0.42 points to end at 35.75 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST: SHBa ) was down 0.38% or 0.50 points to 131.95 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank Abp (ST: NDASE ), which fell 6.97% or 9.80 points to trade at 130.90 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST: SCAb ) declined 4.30% or 6.20 points to end at 137.00 and Electrolux AB Class B (ST: ELUXb ) was down 4.26% or 3.90 points to 87.60.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 469 to 265 and 77 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tele2 AB (ST: TEL2b ) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.52% or 4.55 to 133.75.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.34% or 0.23 to $68.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.19% or 0.14 to hit $72.14 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 21.24 to trade at $3,022.56 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was down 0.34% to 10.95, while USD/SEK unchanged 0.03% to 10.13.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 103.84.
