Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials , Telecoms and Insurance sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 2.61% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index climbed 2.37%, and the TecDAX index gained 2.01%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Rheinmetall AG (ETR: RHMG ), which rose 13.71% or 138.00 points to trade at 1,144.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (ETR: AIRG ) added 5.88% or 9.74 points to end at 175.42 and Bayer AG NA (ETR: BAYGN ) was up 5.68% or 1.29 points to 24.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vonovia SE (ETR: VNAn ), which fell 3.54% or 1.06 points to trade at 28.89 at the close. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR: SATG_p ) declined 1.78% or 4.30 points to end at 236.60 and E.ON SE (ETR: EONGn ) was down 0.04% or 0.01 points to 12.30.

The top performers on the MDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR: HAGG ) which rose 22.25% to 64.00, Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR: TKAG ) which was up 10.57% to settle at 8.41 and Scout24 AG (ETR: G24n ) which gained 8.00% to close at 101.90.

The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR: AIXGn ) which was down 4.15% to 11.66 in late trade, Deutsche Wohnen AG (ETR: DWNG ) which lost 3.89% to settle at 23.45 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR: AT1 ) which was down 3.18% to 2.68 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR: HAGG ) which rose 22.25% to 64.00, Bechtle AG (ETR: BC8G ) which was up 5.17% to settle at 34.58 and Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR: ELGG ) which gained 4.57% to close at 70.90.

The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR: AIXGn ) which was down 4.15% to 11.66 in late trade, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR: SATG_p ) which lost 1.78% to settle at 236.60 and SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR: SMHNn ) which was down 0.80% to 37.05 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 430 to 215 and 29 ended unchanged.

Shares in Scout24 AG (ETR: G24n ) rose to all time highs; up 8.00% or 7.55 to 101.90. Shares in Hensoldt Ag (ETR: HAGG ) rose to all time highs; up 22.25% or 11.65 to 64.00.

The DAX volatility index , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.35% to 19.23.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.92% or 54.56 to $2,903.06 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.26% or 0.18 to hit $69.58 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.06 to trade at $72.75 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 1.13% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.01% at 106.47.
